With the Landerer Kaiserstuhl Pinot Gris comes a first-class white wine into the swirled glass. In this it shows a wonderfully brilliant, copper-gold color. This single-varietal German wine flatters in the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of apples, jasmine, cherry blossoms and quince. It is joined by hints of lovage, forest floor and walnut.

This white wine from Landerer is just right for purists who prefer to drink bone dry. The Kaiserstuhl Pinot Gris comes very close to this, as it was pressed with just 6.4 grams of residual sugar. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Kaiserstuhl Pinot Gris is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Baden, more precisely from Kaiserstuhl, finally captivates with beautiful reverberation.

Vinification of the Kaiserstuhl Pinot Gris from Landerer

This wine clearly puts the focus on one grape variety, and that is Pinot Gris. Only the best grapes were brought in for this wonderfully elegant varietal wine from Landerer. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the Kaiserstuhl Pinot Gris are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.

This German wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to leek soup, coconut-lime fish curry or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
