More information about Riesling Weilberg trocken - Oliver Zeter
With the Oliver Zeter Riesling Weilberg comes a first-class white wine in the glass. In this it presents a wonderfully bright, light yellow color. When swirling the wine glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. With a little time in the glass, this Old World white wine reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of gallia melon, physalis, wild berry jam and papaya, rounded out by garrigue, Mediterranean herbs and cinnamon contributed by barrel aging.
The Oliver Zeter Riesling Weilberg presents itself to the wine drinker wonderfully dry. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Riesling Weilberg reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally convinces with a beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by clay and limestone.
Vinification of the Riesling Weilberg by Oliver Zeter
The basis for the balanced Riesling Weilberg from the Palatinate are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of loam, limestone and clay. Riesling Weilberg is an Old World wine through and through, as this German wine breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The fact that Riesling grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a considerable influence on the development of the vintage. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in small wood and large wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Riesling Weilberg is aged for several months in French oak barrels.
