More information about Biserno Toscana Rosso IGT - Tenuta di Biserno

The Tenuta di Biserno Biserno Toscana Rosso is a first-class red wine in a glass. It presents a wonderfully dense, ruby red color. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which is evident in the clear stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. In the glass, this red wine from Tenuta di Biserno presents aromas of plums, blueberries, blackberries, morello cherries and blackcurrants, complemented by black tea, cinnamon and oriental spices. On the palate, the Biserno Toscana Rosso from Tenuta di Biserno starts off pleasantly aromatic, fruity and balanced. This melting, dense, silky, fleshy and velvety red wine is full-bodied and multi-layered on the palate. Thanks to its moderate fruit acidity, the Biserno Toscana Rosso flatters the palate with a pleasing sensation without lacking in juicy liveliness. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region, Toscana IGT to be precise, is convincing with its exceptional persistence. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets from the loess and sand-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Tenuta di Biserno Biserno Toscana Rosso

This powerful red wine from Italy is made from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Tuscany. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand, loess, clay and marl. Of course, the Biserno Toscana Rosso is also determined by more than just the Toscana IGT soil. This Italian wine can literally be described as a wine of the Old World, which presents itself with exceptional elegance. The maturation of the grapes for this wine made from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Tuscany, the grapes thrive in a warm climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high must weight. The grapes for Biserno Toscana Rosso are harvested exclusively by hand at the time of optimum ripeness, without the help of coarse and less selective harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Recommendation for the Biserno Toscana Rosso from Tenuta di Biserno

This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with vegetable couscous with beef rissoles, rocket penne or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes.
